The Father and His Son

oct 233

The Father and His Son

When the door opens up at 6:15

He runs to his dad waiting to get picked up impatiently.

He wants to sit on his lap at the dinner table to eat his food.

Even though this little boy is only one, he loves his dad so much that he tries to walk in his shoes.

It is a beautiful thing to see how much this little boy admires his dad.

Even when his father disciplines him and makes him sad.

So I had to write a short little blog to honor this man I love.

For all the love that he shows our precious little son.

Mommy to Mommy

When becoming a mother, sometimes you feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Not only do you have to care for yourself, but now you have this little tiny person depending on you to care for them also. And you don’t have time to make mistakes— at least that is what people tell you.

But to be honest, you’re going to make many mistakes.

Like getting the wrong size diapers….
Leaving the house without the baby bag…
Running out of milk …and the list goes on and on.

So, don’t feel bad when little things like that happen, because we all go through it as new and old mothers.

Babies don’t come with an instruction manual like a TV or a computer. So we have to learn as we go. And just because one person tells you what is right for their baby – that doesn’t mean it is right for yours.

All babies are different and develop and advance at different rates. So just love your baby the best way you know how to and your child would love you back.

Who ever said that this is a beautiful experience LIED!!!
Besides the weight gain, having to use the bathroom all the time, not being able to breathe and throwing up, I have hair growing in places that hair shouldn’t even be and my skin is turning different colors. And now my stomach feels like it is going to bust open.

And what happen to my belly button? I don’t know what to call it anymore. And what is this line that is going down my stomach?

God knew what he was doing when he made us carry a child for 9 months. By the time the moment comes to have the baby you are so ready that you don’t even worry about the pain as much. If you have to get a tooth pulled you might back out of it (my husband did). You might even walk around with a broken toe if you’re scared of needles (my husband is). But there is no backing out of a baby. And a lot of women are ready to have the baby before it is even time.

I’m serving the baby the eviction notice today and the baby still has 4 more weeks to go.

Pregnancy Blues…

baby blu

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE PREGNANT 3 MONTHS LATER!!!!!!! I always hear people make jokes about “don’t get pregnant again” and what do I go do. Guess what???? Get PREGNANT again, but it is not my fault, it is all my husband’s fault. I have to blame someone, so it might as well be him.

Taking care of an infant and being pregnant is not an easy thing to do. Especially, when my son gets into everything. And when I say everything I mean everything.

He started walking at 8 months so imagine how that is?

Now that I’m closer to my due date it is hard to chase him around. And why does he like to throw everything on the floor? If he only knew how hard it is for me to bend down, maybe he wouldn’t do it. Or maybe he knows what he is doing and thinks that it is a game. “Let me see the Lady with the big tummy almost pass out trying to pick up my toy.”

I have no idea what goes on in that little head of his. But wait until he gets older I’m going to get him back.

I guess the good thing about having babies back to back is that they will be close. I just hope that they aren’t too close and try to drive me crazy. And another good thing about having babies this close is that I don’t have to buy new stuff.

So, even though I got pregnant 3 months after I had my son, it might not be that bad. The new baby will not change the way I love him. He will still get all of the attention he needs. And now he will have a close friend with him and will not be stuck with all big sisters.
